VICIS PRODUCTS LIMITED WARRANTY
Effective Date: August 21, 2025
This document details the exclusive limited warranty provided by VICIS, LLC (“VICIS”) for its products. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
This warranty is extended only to the original end-use purchaser or the person receiving the product as a gift and shall not be extended to any other person or transferee.
I. LIMITED WARRANTY FOR VICIS ZERO2 HELMET SHELL
Warranty Duration
VICIS warrants the VICIS ZERO2 helmet shell against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the helmet. A helmet's lifetime is defined as ten (10) years from the helmet's certified "Initial Season of Play," as mandated by the National Athletic Equipment Reconditioners Association (NAERA).
Warranty Conditions
To maintain this Lifetime Warranty after the first year of use, the helmet must be reconditioned by a NAERA-certified reconditioner every two (2) years. Only VICIS factory replacement parts may be used to validate this warranty.
Youth Helmets
While biennial reconditioning is not mandatory to validate the warranty for youth helmets, VICIS strongly recommends a regular repair and replacement program be adopted until the helmet is retired from service.
II. LIMITED WARRANTY FOR HELMET INTERNAL COMPONENTS
Warranty Duration
VICIS warrants all internal helmet parts against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase.
III. LIMITED WARRANTY FOR SHOULDER PADS & OTHER NON-HELMET PRODUCTS
Warranty Duration
VICIS warrants its shoulder pads and other non-helmet products against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase.
IV. WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY (EXCLUSIONS)
This Limited Warranty does not cover any damage or defect due to:
- Improper Maintenance: Failure to adhere to required reconditioning schedules for helmet shells.
- Unauthorized Modifications: Any alterations, additions, component deletions, or removals made to the helmet or faceguard that do not follow VICIS manufacturer’s guidelines. This includes the use of any non-approved third-party or aftermarket products or accessories that alter the fit, form, or function of the product. Such modifications will void this warranty and the product's NOCSAE certification.
- Improper Painting and Cleaning: Application of substances to the helmet shell (including primers, paints, thinners, polishes, and cleaners) that are not compatible with the shell material or have not been approved by VICIS. Using non-approved substances can cause material deterioration and will render the warranty void.
- Normal Wear and Tear: Deterioration of the product due to normal use, exposure, or aging.
- Misuse or Abuse: Damage resulting from misuse, accident, or any use of the product that is not its intended purpose.
V. HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM
To initiate a warranty claim, please follow the process based on your original point of purchase. For all claims, you must provide proof of the original purchase date (e.g., a sales receipt or order confirmation email) and the product must be returned whole with all original components intact.

VI. OUR RESPONSIBILITY (WHAT VICIS WILL DO)

LIMITATION ON LIABILITY: THE REMEDIES DESCRIBED ABOVE ARE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES AND OUR ENTIRE OBLIGATION AND LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. OUR LIABILITY SHALL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT.
